DREAMS IN SCRIBBLES

Hopes and dreams in ink

Who am I?

Welcome to my world of words! I am Anaya Sheth. I am 12 and currently in 6th grade. I am writing since the age of 6. I love reading and (you guessed it!) writing. I want to be known worldwide for my writing one day.

DREAMS IN SCRIBBLES

Hopes and dreams in ink

  • My Mamma says Maths is so much fun

I think she is not serious and making a pun

Maths makes me so frustrated sometimes

And solving all the problems takes too much time

Mamma says Maths is a really important subject

But I think that Maths is way too complicated

I don’t know what makes Maths so important

And even for once, why can’t be forgotten?

I am working hard to improve my Maths

Believe me, I am really trying my best

One day my Math skills will be perfect

And I will easily solve all the difficult facts!

  • Oh! How charming is a colourful rainbow

On some days, I can see one from my window

I think on rainbows, the unicorns stay

I desire to see them flying one day

I want to be the first one to ride a unicorn

And show everyone how they do the magic with their horn

I wonder why rainbows have seven colours and not any more

I will ask the unicorns this question for sure

I am curious about the place where the rainbow ends

That magical place I would love to visit with my friends

I wish to chase the rainbow in the big shining sky

One day I will reach there and use rainbow as a slide

I love gazing at the rainbow glowing in the sky

When the sun hides behind the cloud, I hate to say goodbye!

  • Daddy, I love you the most in the world
You do so much for me even when you are tired
You tell me amazing stories every night
When I get scared in dark, you hug me tight
On Sundays, you don’t leave my side even for a second
We play , watch a movie and have so much fun
We go on walks together many mornings
I look forward to all our laughing and talking
We make some yummy food together
Spending time with you is my greatest pleasure
You sing silly songs to make me giggle
And most of the time act like I am still little
You give me so many kisses everyday
Never ever let me feel even a bit grey
In the whole universe, you are the best father
We make the best team together!                                            ANAYA SHETH

  • When Anaya went to stay with her grandparents, a bird made a nest on the window of her room, Anaya was smitten with this bird and the eggs and took great care of them. She excitedly wrote a poem on them (and instructed me to upload photos as well)

    BIRD NEST ON MY WINDOW

One day a white bird came on my window

In her beak, she was holding a straw

She looked around to find a safe place

Then carefully put down the straw to make a nest

The next morning, I saw an egg in that nest

The bird family had now a new address

The white bird was actually a pretty dove

She took care of her egg with lots of love

When I went to look at the egg the next day

There was one more egg with a shade of grey

Gazing at them daily, I felt full of glee

The eggs were actually very beautiful to see

Eggie is what I named the mother bird

Chirpy and Cheery the chicks were to be called

Mother dove, Eggie, is not scared of me

She kept her egg warm and didn’t mind if I saw

Eggie is my friend and let me pat her

She has really soft and shiny white feathers

I kept some water and grains near her nest

So Eggie could have food and take some rest

I talked with Eggie and her eggs all the time

Told many stories and sang songs that rhyme

The eggs soon hatched and Chirpy-Cheery were born

I am making sure nothing harms them not even a thorn!
