DREAMS IN SCRIBBLES

Hopes and dreams in ink

Who am I?

Welcome to my world of words! I am Anaya Sheth. I am 12 and currently in 6th grade. I am writing since the age of 6. I love reading and (you guessed it!) writing. I want to be known worldwide for my writing one day.

DREAMS IN SCRIBBLES

Hopes and dreams in ink

  • I told Anaya to write some lines on ‘ How I can be better’. I had no idea what she would write. I was almost certain that she would come to me and say ‘ I am perfect , Mamma’ or ‘I know everything’ or ‘ I don’t need any improvement’.[Someone thinks very highly of herself 🙂 ]. This is what she wrote…

  • THE WORST POEM IN THE WORLD

My mom told me to write a poem

I had no idea how that could be done

I set on my desk and tried to think

Didn’t waste my time even to blink

I came up with an idea not very great

Writing poems I very much hate

    My poem didn’t even rhyme

To write one sentence I took too much time

My mom told me it had no imagination

I didn’t know what to do in such situation

I thought it was the worst poem in the world

Then some sound I suddenly heard

I was actually a dream very bad

One of the worst I have ever had

I took out my diary and started to write

Out came a poem that was just right!

  • I want to tell you about a party I want to throw

Till now it was a secret which no one knows

‘Farewell Corona’ will my party’s name

Fun at my party would be insane

All my family and friends will be invited

With all of them there I will be so delighted

I cannot wait to hug them all

To talk face to face and not on a call

There would be no social distance nor any masks

‘Where is the sanitizer?’ no one would ask

We would play games and dance all night

With Corona gone, everything would be just right

My party would be held at a big mall

Bad times in Corona no one would recall

We will all eat some delicious food

Our happy day would not conclude

I wish this day would soon arrive

And I will bid Corona big bye bye

  • One day I was sitting on a swing with my dad when a piece of walnut that I was eating fell down. My dad was about to pick it up when he saw some ants. He said ‘Let’s leave this walnut for the ants.’ In few seconds, we saw an ant coming near the walnut. The ant started circling the walnut. Then the ant went away. We were confused. We thought that may be ants don’t like walnuts. But then after some moments It came back with many other ants. They all started breaking the walnut into many small pieces and started carrying it to their home. They were in two straight lines. One line was of the ants coming to get the piece and one line was carrying back the piece to their home. They were very organized. They were carrying much larger and heavier piece than their body weight. (A fun fact – An ant can carry 50 times their body weight) I was really amazed by their efforts and skills. To help them get more food, I put down a piece of raisin for them as well. I am sure they were all very happy to eat such delicious food.
